RIP Gavros
Just found out from one of my pals that Gavros died from a heart attack on Monday.
Although he wore dodgy jumpers and loved to talk shit on here, he was a genuinely nice fella.
Early 40’s is no time to go.
RIP

Used to interact with him on Kumb quite a bit. He used to be very active on the Olympic Stadium thread over there.

Tragic what happened to him really.

I was working in Hackney a few years ago and still have the whomails and texts trying to arrange a meet up for a beer or lunch, sadly never happened. I always disagreed with him but he was a lovely fella and great fun.

Just a reminder of the fund (go fund me) continuing in Gav's name

This fund is dedicated in memory of Gavin Redknap who championed the welfare of fellow West Ham supporters of West Ham online members. In memory of Gavin we would like to continue his work in helping others through this fund, he will never be forgotten. God bless and RIP Gavin

Re: RIP Gavros
The initialism LLDC reminds me of my favourite WHO post when someone said it reminded them of West Ham's current form guide: Lost, Lost, Drew, Cunts.

To my discredit, I can't remember who it was but hats off.

Re: RIP Gavros
Gavros's dream of a party deck has now come true. Just a shame that he's not still with us to enjoy it:

London Stadium, home of English Premier League football club West Ham United, has announced it will introduce a new event space, claimed to be the first of its kind in the UK, in time for the summer schedule.

The North Scoreboard Deck provides a versatile area inside the main bowl for up to 1,000 attendees and is available to hire for corporate events and parties.

Guests can take in the pitch and surroundings of the former Olympic Stadium while watching a sports screening, or a performance on a stage while on the deck. London Stadium said Government COVID-19 regulations can be safely managed within the outdoor space, while shielded from the weather by the venue’s roof.

In addition, the football pitch will be available to hire from the end of the current 2020-21 season, including the full match-day experience, with home and away dressing rooms, a tunnel walk, and LED scoreboards.

Re: Rip Gavros
Not really the thread for vendettas or abuse. Probably best if a mod just got rid of the long dark veil post and banned the poster.

I'm going to delete both Long Dark Veil and martboy's post to keep the thread what it is intended for

RIP Gavros, taken far too early.

Re: RIP Gavros
I hardly ever come on here now as WHO has been dying a slow death for years, but generally shocked at this news, bizarre that a user name of a person I had very little in common with can generate a response of ,..."Fuck no way this can't be true!" He was big personality on here, much like Piggy was. RIP Gav
